Mr. Domingo D.G. Eugenio is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering at the University of the East, Manila in 1987. He pursued his Graduate Studies as a FAPE scholar in 1994 taking Master of Arts in Education specialized in Computer Assisted Instruction at Adamson University and graduated in 1997.
He was hired as Computer Instructor in MAAP last March 2000, and has proven his competence not only in teaching but also in some administrative works delegated to him by the Dean. Maximizing his capability and expertise in doing administrative works, qualified him to be promoted as Subject Area Chair (SAC) for Mathematics, Computer and Natural Sciences subjects. After two (2) years of being a SAC, he was assigned as College Assessor of the Academy up to the present.
Mr. Eugenio has been teaching for 19 years. His first teaching assignment was in AMA Computer College in Makita for two (2) years. He was hired in University of Regina Carmeli in Malolos, Bulacan, and teaching Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Computer Engineering subjects and also given a teaching load as part-time professor in the Graduate School of the University. Later, he was promoted as Dean of Computer Science and Engineering for six (6) years.
As the College Assessor he proves himself not only as a good middle level manager but also excels in the art of writing and presenting paper here and abroad.
He has written several papers to wit:
- Development of Subject Manual for Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific where he was asked to present it in the plenary session of International Maritime Lecturers’ Association (IMLA) in Shanghai Maritime University, China on 2002;
- The Efficacy of Testing and Examination Procedures in Competency Assessment, presented in IMLA 13 at Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy, Russia last September 2004. The said paper was also chosen as a refereed paper and was presented at the National Convention of Philippine Society for Educational Research and Evaluation last May 2006 with a new title as The Efficiency of Testing and Examination Procedures on Student Learning Competency Assessment: The MAAP Experience.
- The Effects of Academic Assessment Procedures on the Performance of Faculty and Midshipmen. A paper presented and published in the proceedings at 14th IMLA Conference held at Marseille, France, October 2006. He was also a Session Area Chair during the Conference.
He was also elected as IMLA Steering Committee Member last October 2006 along with other Presidents and Directors of Maritime Institutions worldwide.
