ENROLLMENT OF UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
- Midshipman to log-in at MAAP On-line Enrollment System (OES).
- Midshipman to accomplish OES-Profiling.
- Midshipman to present verification code to the Office of the Registrar.
- Midshipman to accomplish OES Clearance.
- Midshipman to secure Enrollment Form from the Office of the Registrar through his/her MAAP OES personal account.
Note: All midshipmen/women are required to submit their school credentials from their previous schools upon enrollment to the Office of the Registrar. Also, the Office of the Registrar will post memorandum in your respective areas regarding the schedule of enrollment. Kindly contact the Office of the Registrar for the schedule of enrollment.
ENROLLMENT OF TRAINEES
- Trainee to receive email from the Registrar regarding instructions for online enrollment.
- Trainee to register, enroll, and submit entry requirements through online.
- Trainee to receive an email from the Registrar regarding his/her enrollment status and Order of Payment, if paying trainee.
- Trainee to receive a link regarding his/her class schedule from the ASTC / MSC / MLC once enrolled.
NOTE: Only those trainees endorsed by the ASTC / MSC / MLC for enrollment will receive online instructions. Kindly coordinate to ASTC, MSC, or MLC for reservation or any inquiries.
APPLICATION FOR COMPLETION OF DEGREE PROGRAM AND TO JOIN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
FOR BSMT, BSMarE, and BSMEET
Student will:
- Accomplish the online Application for Completion of Degree Program and Graduation Ceremony Form by clicking this (link). Kindly contact the Office of the Registrar for the schedule in the opening of application for graduation.
- Coordinate to the Department of Shipboard Training regarding processing of your Final Grade Report, Placement Report, and Notarized Certificate of Validation, Assessment and Approval (CVAA). Please be reminded that the Office of the Registrar has to wait for the notarized CVAA from the Department of Shipboard Training prior endorsing you to ACAT for Resolution Number.
- Coordinate to the Department of Academics regarding removal of INC of your COMPRE or in any course,if Incomplete. The Registrar’s Completion Form for the Undergraduate Program will be sent thru email by request. Please be reminded that the Office of the Registrar has to wait for your Final Grade Report from the Department of Academics prior endorsing you to ACAT for Resolution Number.
- Submit copies of UTOIC-Part A Certificate of Completion, if required. The list of students who are required to undergo the UTOIC-Part A Training will be posted after the Academic Council and Training deliberation. Please be reminded that the Office of the Registrar has to wait for your Certificate of Completion from the AMOSUP Seamen’s Training Center or any training centers prior to endorsing you to ACAT for Resolution Number.
- Submit a copy of Refresher Course Certificate approved by CHED and MARINA (only for those students with approved extension of residency period in reference to ACAT Resolution Number 001-2023). Please be reminded that the Office of the Registrar has to wait for your Refresher Course Certificate prior to endorsing you to ACAT for Resolution Number.
- Process Registrar-Online Outgoing Clearance for Transcript of Records and Diploma, if qualified.
REMINDERS:
- Graduating students must
- Completed classroom instruction.
- Completed Onboard Training and complied with the pertinent validation and assessments.
- Passed the comprehensive examination.
- Completed Refresher Course approved by CHED and MARINA (only for those students with approved extension residency period in reference to ACAT Resolution Number 001-2023)
- Passed the competency assessment (only for those students with approved extension residency period in reference to ACAT Resolution Number 001-2023)
- Completed UTOIC-Part A Training (only for those students with approved extension residency period in reference to ACAT Resolution Number 001-2023)
- Complied with MAAP's policies and requirements.
REFERENCES:
a. ACAT Resolution No. 001-11 dated July 25, 2011, requirements for graduation and application for graduation honors:
- Candidates for graduation awards and Latin Honors shall submit documents qualifying them for such awards.
- Basis for graduation awards and honors shall be the final grade of the official MAAP Grading System.
b. ACAT Resolution No. 009-2019 dated November 20, 2019, policy for residency and graduation requirements for the undergraduate programs:
- Student who is enrolled in any four-year program should finish the program within seven (7) school years period from the date of first enrollment during the First Year Level.
- In exceptionally meritorious cases, extensions of residence beyond the maximum residency period of completion may be approved by the President upon recommendation of the ACAT Chairman in reference to the letter of consideration submitted by the concern student.
- Any student who fails to complete all requirements of the degree within maximum residency period and any approved extension thereof shall be disqualified from the Roster of MAAP Midshipman/woman.
c. ACAT Resolution Number 001-2023, procedure in processing students returning over the prescribed residency period.
FOR BRIDGING PROGRAM (BSME to BSMarE)
Student will:
- Accomplish the online Application for Completion of Degree Program by clicking this (link). Only students with Notarized Certificate of Validation, Assessment and Approval (CVAA) and Placement Report from the Department of Shipboard Training will accomplish this form.The Registrar will send an email for instructions.
- Process Registrar-Online Outgoing Clearance for Transcript of Records and Diploma, once the ACAT RESOLUTION NUMBER is available. You will receive instructions through your personal email address.
REMINDERS:
- Your Transcript of Records and Diploma will be made available upon receipt of the following:
- ACAT RESOLUTION NUMBER
- ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTARY TAX STAMP
- TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS FROM YOUR PREVIOUS SCHOOL, if not yet submitted.
- FULLY ACCOMPLISHED REGISTRAR OUTGOING CLEARANCE SYSTEM (ROCS)
